While there is no pre-determined process, most art offerings are acquired from private collections and public auctions. Our co-founders' decades-long network gives us first look at pieces that rarely surface publicly. Every piece is authenticated both internally and with the aid of Heritage Auctions, which also provides independent value estimations.

All art is stored in a professional art storage facility in the New York City area for the duration of management. The art is kept inside a safe in Inked Equity's temperature- and humidity-controlled private room. Access is logged.

Yes. All shares are insured at full appraised value while under the management of Inked Equity. Coverage extends through transit during eventual sale.

While there is no predetermined sale date, Inked Equity targets a 3–5 year hold. The team monitors the market continuously and will recommend an exit when conditions favor a strong realization.

All shares are subject to a 5% management fee upon investment. A 1.5% annual maintenance fee goes towards storage and insurance. When the art is sold, there is an 8% buyer's premium, as well as a 15% performance fee after a certain level of profit is returned to clients.

While shares of high-value comic art should retain or increase in value, Inked Equity's philosophy is geared towards maximizing the value play over the secondary market. As such, although the Inked Equity team will attempt to resell shares profitably, we cannot guarantee liquidity until the underlying art is sold.
